We have all experienced stress at some point in our lives. It could be the deadline that is running closer and the boss that will not get off your case. It could be the double booked appointments or the loved one you just lost. It could also be that terrible car accident that happened ten years ago or being in the car while your daughter is driving for the first time. Stress is experienced when we feel there is no positive way out of our situation. We feel trapped or hopeless. Stress is also defined as a point where we feel threatened. Although stress is a common effect of something negative that happened or potentially happening, many people do not know the effects of stress. We know there is a large variation of causes of stress, but stress can also have an impact on your physical health. When the symptoms of stress are constantly presenting themselves, they will cause severe damage on the body’s systems. There are three main types of stress that are most commonly experience d by people. The first type of stress is called acute stress. Acute stress is short term and can happen from negative thoughts that arise from being exposed to a situation. The negative thoughts can arise from demands from a recent past or potential future event.
